Unfortunately as of January 2018, the Postal Service has been routinely inspecting USPS Media Mail packages for t-shirts, hoodies, patches and any other form of clothing not eligible for the rate.
If you chose Media Mail shipping for an order that contains clothing please be aware that your package is likely to be stopped by the Postal Service. If your package is caught the following will happen:
- USPS will charge you for any excess postage they deem necessary before delivering your package.
- The package might return to our warehouse with postage due which will be billed to you the customer + the additional postage to re-ship your package.
In other words, choosing Media Mail for clothing products is a can of worms that may delay your order and add extra unnecessary expense.
Note: Media Mail shipping is a cost-effective way to ship within the United States but is restricted to sound and video recordings, such as CDs, LPs, Tapes and DVDs as well as printed paper products, such as books, posters, etc. Read the official USPS Media Mail Policy [here].
