PayPal API Error at Checkout

Reminder: we also accept credit card, cash, money order and Money Gram.

I am trying to place an order right now but keep receiving the following unusual error, what should I do?:

Paypal API has returned an error! This transaction cannot be completed. This transaction couldn't be completed. Please redirect your customer to Paypal.  

We've observed an issue that arises when "N/A" is either entered or left blank in the state field of the shipping and/or billing addresses. For example:

Recipient: King Diamond
Address: Hauptstra ße 666
City: Copenhagan
State: N/A,
Postal Code: 45678
Country: Denmark


To correct this, here are some potential solutions:

1. Ensure that your PayPal account's address details do not have a blank or 'N/A' entry in the state field. Here's a helpful link to PayPal's instructions on editing your address.
2. Avoid using special characters in your address (the above example for ß, renders as ß), as they may not consistently display correctly.
3. As you proceed to the final checkout on our website, kindly ensure that the state field is neither left blank nor contains "N/A." If needed, please make the necessary address adjustments within your address book on our website before finalizing the transaction.

If all else fails:

Submit your order and PayPal us manually by:

1. Select the Money Order / Cash payment option in the shopping cart to hold your order before something sells out.
2. Contact us with your order number to send you a link to PayPal us manually.
3. After sending the payment, please reply with your PayPal transaction ID. This allows us to verify and apply it to your order, expediting the processing of your package.
